Vallejo Model Air — Num.1 Sky Blue “Duck Egg Blue”

Royal Air Force No.1 Sky Blue / Duck Egg Blue — early underside 1938–1940. Spitfire Mk.I (pre-Battle of Britain, Nos.19 and 66 Sqn), Hurricane Mk.I (Nos.43 and 111 Sqn pre-war). The pre-war standard underside for RAF fighters before Sky replaced it in 1940. Also Fleet Air Arm — Fairey Swordfish Mk.I.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
