The M113 is a US aluminium-hulled tracked armoured personnel carrier introduced in 1960 and produced in enormous numbers, serving with the US Army and allied forces from Vietnam through the Cold War and beyond. The M113A2 was a late-1970s upgrade package adding improved engine cooling and revised suspension. Fully amphibious and endlessly adaptable, the M113 was fielded in many roles including as a battlefield ambulance carrying prominent red cross markings. This is Trumpeter's newer-tool 1/72 kit, first released in 2007.
