The German 3 ton 4x2 cargo truck was the standard medium transport of the Wehrmacht, with more than 70,000 built between 1937 and 1944. Its rear-wheel-drive chassis and large wooden cargo bed made it a durable and capable hauler, and it carried supplies and troops on every front from the Western campaigns to North Africa and Russia. Softskins of this type did the unglamorous work that kept the panzer divisions moving, and it remains one of the most useful vehicles for a diorama builder.
