The Viscount was the world's first turboprop airliner to enter service and Britain's great postwar commercial success, selling nearly 450 aircraft worldwide. The 800 series stretched the fuselage to seat more passengers on the same Dart-powered airframe. This boxing covers Eagle Airways, the independent British carrier that ran Viscounts on European and Bermuda routes in the late 1950s.
