The Macchi C.200 Saetta ("Lightning") was an Italian single-seat fighter that entered Regia Aeronautica service in 1939, powered by a Fiat A.74 radial engine. Highly maneuverable and structurally robust, it was hampered by relatively light armament and modest speed compared to contemporary Allied fighters, but it served extensively across the Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Eastern Front. It was one of Italy's most-produced fighters of the war.

This is the Revell (G.B.) Ltd. boxing of the 1/72 Macchi C.200 (Potters Bar, England), based on Revell's classic "Authentic Kits" tooling, with a frameable box-top illustration by B. Knight. Decals represent a Regia Aeronautica aircraft.
