Description
RMXH-60 - Revell 1/72 Curtiss P-40E (Collector's choice) - WWHP111658
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Curtiss P-40 was an American single-seat fighter built around the Allison V-1710 V12, used on virtually every major front in the first half of WWII. Though outclassed in high-altitude dogfighting, it was rugged, available in numbers, and effective at low level as a fighter-bomber, with the P-40E carrying six .50-cal machine guns. It earned lasting fame in the shark-mouthed markings of the American Volunteer Group, the "Flying Tigers," in China.
This is the Revell "Collector's Choice" boxing of the 1/72 Curtiss P-40E, copyright 1976 (Venice, CA). The kit includes optional parts and decals to build any one of three aircraft: an AVG Chinese "Flying Tiger," ace Col. Robert Scott's "Old Exterminator" (with 250 lb bomb), or a U.S. Army P-40E (with belly tank).
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded plastic parts on sprue, with rotating propeller and movable wheels
- Optional-position landing gear
- Optional belly drop tank (US Army version) and 250 lb bomb (Scott version)
- Full-color waterslide decal sheet for three versions (Flying Tiger, Col. Scott, U.S. Army)
- Illustrated assembly/painting instructions
