RAG03853 - Revell 1/48 Tornado GR.4 "Farewell"
If you are interested in modern military history, you can't get past the Tornado GR.4. The fighter aircraft of the RAF (Royal Air Force) determined the missions of the British Air Force for decades. And it is precisely this jet that is now leading the hearts of experienced model builders to lofty heights! This model airplane on a scale of 1:32 has everything that guarantees hours of tinkering fun and should not be missing in any collection!
More than three decades in Her Majesty's service
For 35 years, the Tornado GR.4 was the pride of the Royal Air Force. Then this unique multi-role fighter aircraft was put into well-deserved retirement – its successor, the F-35, is now conquering the skies over Great Britain.
As a farewell in February 2019, the sky over eastern England shone in the deepest blue as the last jets showed what they could do in a nine-man formation.
Many visitors were thrilled at the sight of the aircraft, and even more so when they saw the colourful special livery that the 31st Squadron of the RAF had given its star as a farewell: a golden star on the tail unit, which competed with the sun far above him!
