The North American (later Rockwell) T-2 Buckeye was the US Navy's standard jet trainer for over four decades, introducing student naval aviators to carrier operations from 1959 until 2008. Virtually every Navy and Marine Corps pilot of the era made their first carrier landing in a Buckeye. Export versions served with Greece and Venezuela, with Hellenic Air Force T-2Es soldiering on into the 2000s.
