The Heinkel He 176 was the world's first aircraft propelled solely by a liquid-fuelled rocket, flown under power for the first time in 1939 by test pilot Erich Warsitz at Peenemünde. Built as a private venture under Ernst Heinkel's drive toward high-speed flight, it was a tiny, bare-bones research machine that proved the concept of rocket propulsion rather than setting any records. This is JACH's original short-run injection-moulded tooling.
