Description
ITA1354 - Italeri 1/72 MB 339 A - WWHP113516
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
Aermacchi's MB-339A was developed from the MB-326 as an advanced jet trainer with a raised rear seat and a Viper turbojet, entering Italian service in 1979 and becoming the mount of the Frecce Tricolori display team. Wingtip tanks and underwing pylons also made it a capable light attack aircraft, which is how Argentina used it. In 1982 the Argentine Navy's 1 Escuadrilla flew MB-339As from Stanley against British forces at San Carlos Water, the role shown on this Falklands War boxing.
