A genuinely rare kit from a short-lived British manufacturer. Inpact Components Ltd released their "Those Magnificent Flying Machines" series in 1966, tied to the 20th Century Fox film of the same year. The Blériot XI is a fitting subject — Louis Blériot's historic 1909 crossing of the English Channel in a machine not far removed from this one was one of the defining moments of early aviation.

The kit is notable for its detail given the era: fabric surface textures, a clear display stand, clear wheels to simulate the spoke effect, a multipart pilot figure, and rigging material with a rigging diagram included. These are rare finds today — Inpact ran into financial difficulties and was liquidated shortly after the range launched. A genuine collector's piece as much as a build.
