Description
HRM7286 - HR Model 1/72 Renard R.38 - WWHP111617
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Renard R.38 was a Belgian single-seat fighter prototype developed by Alfred Renard's Constructions Aéronautiques in the late 1930s, the last in a series of increasingly capable Belgian indigenous fighter designs. Powered by a Rolls-Royce Merlin II inline engine of 1,030 hp, it was developed alongside the radial-engined R.37 as Belgium's attempt to field a competitive modern fighter before the German invasion. The sole prototype, registered OO-ATK, was still in development when Germany invaded Belgium in May 1940 and the aircraft fell into German hands. HR Model (Czech Republic) is a small cottage resin manufacturer specialising in rare interwar and pre-war European subjects.
