The Haguro was a Myōkō-class heavy cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy, armed with ten 20.3cm guns and counted among Japan's most powerful cruisers of the war. She fought in many of the Pacific's major surface actions, including the Battle of the Java Sea. Haguro was sunk in May 1945 in the Battle of the Malacca Strait, the last major IJN warship lost to surface action in the Second World War.
