The Sd.Kfz.234/3 was a German eight-wheeled heavy armoured reconnaissance vehicle of the Second World War, part of the fast and well-armed Puma family. This variant mounted a short-barrelled 7.5cm support gun in an open-topped superstructure — the stubby weapon earning it the nickname "Stummel" (stump). Its eight-wheel drive and rear-steering gave it excellent cross-country mobility and range, making it a capable scout and fire-support vehicle in the war's later years.
