The Albatros D.V was a German biplane fighter of the First World War, developed from the earlier D.III with a rounded, semi-monocoque plywood fuselage that gave it a streamlined profile. Introduced in 1917, it served in large numbers with the German air service and equipped many of the era's leading fighter units, though it offered only modest performance gains over its predecessor. This Weekend Edition includes markings for Richard Flashar's aircraft of Jasta 5, 1917.
