The Sd.Kfz.250/8 was a fire-support version of the German light half-track, armed with a short 7.5cm K.51 L/24 gun and issued to reconnaissance units. This kit represents the later "Neu" hull, the simplified design adopted in 1943 to speed production. The 7.5cm gun gave the small half-track a useful close-support punch alongside armoured cars and infantry.
