DP-AIRA12009 - Airfix 1/72 Handley-Page Victor K.2/SR.2 (Box Damaged)
*Box DamagedPreowned, Original seal, Mint (Final sale)
The Handley Page Victor was the last of Britain's three V-bombers to enter service, forming part of the RAF's airborne nuclear deterrent through the 1960s before structural limitations led to conversion of the B.2 airframes into the K.2 tanker and SR.2 strategic reconnaissance variants. Victor K.2s of No. 55 and 57 Squadrons flew as tankers during the 1982 Falklands War, supporting the long-range Vulcan bombing raids of Operation Black Buck, while the type continued in the tanker role until retirement in 1993. Released in 2018, this Airfix kit builds as either the K.2 tanker or SR.2 reconnaissance aircraft and spans 508mm across the wing at 1/72 scale.
