The de Havilland Vampire FB.5 was the most numerically significant single-seat variant of the Vampire line, serving as the RAF's primary fighter-bomber through the early 1950s and equipping 19 RAF squadrons in Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East at its peak. Powered by the Goblin II turbojet, the FB.5 introduced clipped wingtips and a longer-stroke undercarriage over earlier marks, and was also built for the South African Air Force and Venezuela. Released in 2013, Cyber Hobby's 1/72 new-tool FB.5 uses slide-mould technology for the twin-boom tail assembly and includes positionable landing gear and wing flaps, with an extensive decal sheet covering eleven RAF and Royal Auxiliary Air Force marking options from 1953 to 1956.
