Ginga Hyōryū Vifam (Galactic Drifter Vifam) is a 1983 mecha anime produced by Sunrise, directed by Takeyuki Kanda and conceived by Yoshiyuki Tomino (creator of Mobile Suit Gundam). Set in the year A.D. 2058, the series follows a group of children who must pilot the humanoid Round Vernian mecha to reach Earth after alien Astrogaters destroy their colony. The FAM-RV-S1 Vifam is the primary mech of the series, piloted by protagonist Roddy.
