The custom van scene of the late 1970s turned ordinary panel vans into rolling art projects, and the Ford Econoline was one of the favourite starting points. Vanners added murals, porthole windows, sidepipes, wheel flares and shag-lined interiors, and the movement was big enough to support its own magazines and nationwide van-ins. AMT's Phantom captured the peak of that era, and this reissue brings back the same tooling with the original street and show custom parts intact.
