The 1965 Pontiac Grand Prix was a personal luxury performance car built on Pontiac's full-size platform, available with the 421 cubic inch HO V-8 producing up to 376 horsepower. The long hood, short fastback deck, and sporting interior made it one of the most desirable American cars of the mid-1960s. AMT produced a kit of the Grand Prix in their annual model programme for 1965, and the tooling has been reissued numerous times since as one of the classic AMT full-size Pontiac subjects.
