The DH.60M Metal Moth was a variant of de Havilland's highly successful DH.60 Moth series, replacing the original wooden fuselage structure with a steel tube framework while retaining the fabric covering. First flown in 1927, the Metal Moth was built for operators in harsher climates and saw service with the RAF, the Royal Canadian Air Force, and several export customers including Denmark.
