Description
AMO7214 - Amodel 1/72 Di-6Sh - WWHP111593
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Polikarpov Di-6 was a Soviet two-seat biplane fighter developed in 1934, intended to replace the older I-5 in the escort and attack roles. The "Sh" (Shturmovik) suffix denotes the ground attack variant, fitted with underwing pylons for bombs and rocket projectiles. Though obsolete by the time of Operation Barbarossa, the Di-6 served with Soviet aviation schools and secondary units through the early war years, and remains one of the more obscure Soviet types of the interwar period.
