Description
AIR584 - Airfix 1/72 Halifax B MK.III - WWHP111598
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Handley Page Halifax was one of the RAF's principal four-engine heavy bombers of the Second World War, serving with Bomber Command from 1941 onward. The B Mk.III introduced Bristol Hercules radial engines in place of the earlier Merlins, improving altitude performance and reliability, and became the most-produced Halifax variant. This kit depicts LV917 "NP-C" of No. 158 Squadron in the standard dark earth/dark green over black night bomber scheme.
This is a vintage Airfix "AIRFIX-72" Series 5 boxing of the original 1961 tooling, made in England, featuring Roy Cross box art.
Box contents:
- Approx. 102 injection-moulded styrene parts in black, on four sprues plus separately moulded fuselage, wing and aileron halves
- Clear sprue for canopy, turrets and fuselage windows
- Waterslide decal sheet — single marking option (No. 158 Sqn, LV917 / NP-C)
- Black & white assembly instructions
- Optional moveable rudders, elevators and ailerons
- Raised panel line and rivet detail consistent with the era of tooling
