Britain received well over 800 Mitchells under Lend-Lease, where the B-25C and B-25D became the Mitchell Mk.I and Mk.II. Flying with 2nd Tactical Air Force squadrons such as 180 and 226, they spent 1943 and 1944 hitting airfields, marshalling yards and V-weapon sites ahead of the invasion, a very different job from the Pacific strafing work the type is usually remembered for. This Academy boxing uses the well regarded Accurate Miniatures tooling and adds new RAF decals and a canopy mask.

• Grey styrene frames lettered A through M plus a clear frame for the nose glazing, canopy and turret

• Ordnance frame with 500 lb and 1000 lb bombs, with loading options shown in the instructions
• Die-cut canopy and glazing mask included
• Waterslide decal sheet with markings for four RAF aircraft: FL218 "Nulli Secundus" of 180 Squadron at RAF Foulsham, July 1943; FW172 of 180 Squadron at RAF Dunsfold, August 1944; FW239 of 226 Squadron, May 1944; and FL684 of 180 Squadron at RAF Foulsham, 1943
• Decals include roundels, fin flashes, serials, a separate alphabet of code letters, squadron badge and instrument panel detail
• Multi-page instruction booklet with parts location diagram, list of unused parts and a paint index cross-referencing Humbrol, Mr. Color, Testors, Revell, Vallejo and AK
• Some parts on the frames are surplus to this boxing, as the tooling covers other B-25 versions
