Vallejo Metal Colour — Dark Aluminum

Slightly darker aluminium for shadow areas on NMF aircraft. Used as the base coat under polished Aluminium to create panel variation and realistic metal colour differentiation across different skin sections.

USAAF Pacific — B-29 panel variation / shadow areas

Normandy & Northwest Europe 1944–1945
USAAF 8th & 9th Air Force — Panel variation, shadow areas

Korean War 1950–1953
USAF F-86A/E/F Sabre — Panel variation and shadow

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
