Vallejo True Metallic Metal — Aged Metal (Base)

Subject: Miniatures

Tarnished dark iron — undead knights, ancient historical armour, battle-worn Chaos Warriors, dungeon adventurer equipment.

Role: Mid-tone starting coat. Apply as the primary metallic layer over a black or dark grey primer.

How to use the TMM system: Apply the Base coat first as your primary metallic layer. Wash recesses with the Shade to add depth. Build highlights on raised edges with the Light. Use the Airbrush variant for airbrushed base coats and zenithal pre-highlighting.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
