Vallejo Model Air — No.17 Earth Yellow

Japanese No.17 Earth Yellow — IJA aircraft training and general colour. Tachikawa Ki-55 Ida advanced trainer (overall yellow), Mitsubishi Ki-57 Topsy transport (identification panels), and some late-war IJA emergency training aircraft. Also used on IJN training types — Yokosuka K5Y2 Willow biplane trainer (overall yellow-orange-tan).

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
