Vallejo Model Air — Sky Grey

Fleet Air Arm Sky Grey (approx. FS 36463 / FS 36440 range) — pre-war and early-war FAA underside color before Sky Type S standardization, approx. 1937–1941. Applied to: Blackburn Skua Mk.II, Blackburn Roc, Fairey Swordfish Mk.I (early), Gloster Sea Gladiator, Fairey Fulmar Mk.I (early production), Supermarine Walrus (early schemes). Used during Norwegian Campaign (1940), early Mediterranean operations, and pre-Battle of Britain Fleet Air Arm deployments.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
