Vallejo Model Air — Russian Air Force Light Blue

Soviet VVS standard light blue underside — early war 1941–1942. MiG-3, LaGG-3, Yak-1 (early). AII Blue underside applied at most factories before AMT-7 became the standard. Also found on Lend-Lease aircraft such as Hurricane Mk.IIB and P-40E in Soviet service.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
