Vallejo Model Air — US Earth Red
Subject: Armour
US Earth Red (approx. FS 30117 / FS 30094 range) — red soil camouflage tone, especially suited for clay-heavy terrain, approx. WWII field use through Vietnam and limited modern training schemes. Applied to: M4 Sherman (Pacific and training units), M3/M5 Stuart, M8 Greyhound; Vietnam-era vehicles including M48A3 Patton, M113 APC, M551 Sheridan; USMC equipment in Pacific islands; engineering and support vehicles. Used in Pacific Theater (1942–45), Vietnam War (1965–1975), and US-based training environments simulating red soil regions.
Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
