Vallejo Model Air — Green RLM72

Subject: Aircraft

Luftwaffe RLM 72 Dunkelgrün (Dark Green; slightly darker than RLM 73; approx. FS 34030 / FS 34052 range) — companion maritime green used in splinter camouflage with RLM 73, approx. 1938–1945. Typically the darker of the two greens in the pattern. Applied to: Heinkel He 115A/B/C; Dornier Do 18D/G; Dornier Do 24T; Blohm & Voss BV 138C; Blohm & Voss BV 222; Arado Ar 196A series; Heinkel He 59; Heinkel He 60; Dornier Do 17Z (maritime variants); Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor; Junkers Ju 88A-4 (naval units), Ju 88C; Junkers Ju 52/3m (seaplane conversions and maritime transports). Used in Norwegian Campaign (1940), North Atlantic patrols, Arctic convoy interdiction, and long-range maritime reconnaissance throughout WWII.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
