Vallejo Model Air — Dirt

Subject: Universal

Dirt brown — universal weathering and ground cover colour. Suitable for base coating diorama groundwork, applying mud effects on vehicle running gear, and simulating dried earth on all ground vehicles. The standard starting point for any realistic vehicle or groundwork weathering.

Coalition Armour — Sand accumulation around running gear
Iraqi Armour — Sand dust accumulation

Modern Era — 2000s to Present
Leopard C2 MEXAS — Sand and dust accumulation on hull and running gear

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
