Vallejo Model Air — Green Zinc Chromate

Subject: Aircraft

Green zinc chromate — USAAF and US Army aircraft interior and structural primer. Standard primer colour for interior surfaces of B-17, B-24, P-47, P-51, and all USAAF aircraft 1941–1945. Applied to internal structure, wing spars, and any unfinished metal interior. The second-most common USAAF interior colour after Interior Green.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
