Modern NATO-aligned ‘Armor Brown’ camouflage tone — used in tri-color disruptive schemes from late Cold War to present, approx. 1970s–present. Common in US and NATO MERDC and CARC systems. Applied to: M1 Abrams (M1, M1IP, M1A1, M1A2), M2 Bradley IFV, M3 Bradley CFV, M60A1/A3 Patton, M113 APC (all variants including A1/A2/A3), M109A2/A3/A6 Paladin, M577 command vehicle, M548 cargo carrier, LAV-25, LAV-III (Stryker family: M1126, M1128 MGS, M1130 CV, M1134 ATGM), HMMWV (all tactical variants), German Leopard 1A1–A5, Leopard 2A0–A7, British FV432, Warrior IFV, Challenger 1, Challenger 2. Used in NATO exercises and conflicts including REFORGER (Cold War Europe), Gulf War (1991 transitional schemes), Balkans (1990s), Afghanistan (2001–2021), Iraq War (2003–2011).

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
