Luftwaffe RLM 70 Schwarzgrün (Black Green) — standard upper surface camouflage 1935–1943. Messerschmitt Bf 109E-1/3/4/7 (Battle of Britain, all variants), Bf 109F-2/4/6, Bf 110C/D/E (Zerstörer), Heinkel He 111H-6/16, Junkers Ju 88A-4/5, Dornier Do 17Z. Paired with RLM 71 Dark Green in the standard two-tone splinter camouflage. Essential for any 1939–1942 Luftwaffe build.

Weathering & modulation: RLM 70 fades to a dark olive. Highlight with VLJ70968 Flat Green lightened with VLJ70880 Khaki.

Scale colour note: Lighten 15% at 1:48, 20% at 1:72.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
