Soviet 4BO Protective Green — the standard Russian military green 1941–present. T-34/76, T-34/85, IS-2, ISU-152, SU-85, BT-7 (late), M3 Lee (Lend-Lease repainted). Also VVS Il-2 Shturmovik (early single-seat), and as a basis for all Soviet/Russian ground equipment colours. The most widely used military colour in the Eastern Front.

Weathering & modulation: Highlight with VLJ71347 lightened with VLJ70879 Green Ochre for sun-faded panels. Winter whitewash: thin VLJ70951 heavily and apply in patches.

Scale colour note: Lighten 10% with VLJ70879 at 1:35, 15–20% at 1:72.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
