Vallejo Model Air — Armor Green

Standard modern military ‘Armor Green’ base tone — widely used post-WWII through Cold War and into modern CARC systems, approx. 1950s–present. Equivalent to various national greens including US Olive Drab successors and NATO Green. Applied to: M4A3E8 (late repaints), M26 Pershing (postwar service), M46/M47/M48 Patton series, M60 series, M551 Sheridan, M113 APC (all variants), M109 SPG series, M110 howitzer, M728 CEV, M88 ARV, HMMWV, M1 Abrams (early schemes), British Centurion Mk.3–Mk.13, Chieftain Mk.2–Mk.10, Challenger 1, Soviet T-54, T-55, T-62, early T-72, BMP-1, BMP-2, BTR-60/70/80. Seen in Korean War (late service repaints), Vietnam War (1965–1975), Arab-Israeli conflicts (1967, 1973), Cold War Europe deployments.

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
