Vallejo Model Color — Deck Tan

Subject: Ships · Armour

Warm tan/beige. Japanese Navy carrier deck colour (IJN Shokaku, Zuikaku), and British/US wooden deck approximation. Also suitable as a DAK vehicle sand highlight.

Pacific Theatre — Imperial Japanese Navy & Army Air Force 1941–1945
IJN Surface Combatants — Yamato / carrier teak deck planking

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
