Vallejo Model Color — Buff

Subject: Universal

Sandy buff colour. Suitable for British desert vehicles (SCC 2 base highlight), Italian Regia Aeronautica undersides, and general desert sand tones.

WWI 1914–1918
RFC / RNAS Fighters & Bombers — Clear-doped linen underside

Battle of Britain — July to October 1940
RAF Fighter Command — Fabric section tonal variation — slightly warmer on cloth areas

Application: Water-based acrylic. Thin with water for brush painting, or Vallejo Acrylic Thinner for airbrushing. Add a few drops of Vallejo Flow Improver to cut surface tension, improve levelling, slow tip dry, and allow water-based acrylics to spray like a lacquer or solvent-based paint. Aim for a milk-like consistency.
