The Porsche Carrera GT was the most extreme road car Porsche had ever built when it debuted at the 2003 Geneva Motor Show — a carbon fibre monocoque supercar powered by a 5.7-litre V10 engine producing 612 horsepower, capable of 330km/h, and built in a limited run of just 1,500 units at Porsche's Leipzig factory. It remains one of the most revered driver's cars ever made.

Tamiya's Collector's Club Special No.6 replicates it at 1/12 scale with the same premium construction standards as the Ferrari editions. ABS resin body panels follow the exact contours of the full-size car. Die-cast metal suspension arms with working dampers and stabilizers provide real-action suspension. Metal-hinged doors, hood, and rear engine deck open to reveal a fully detailed V10 engine and interior. The rear wing deploys to its extended position when the license plate is pressed — exactly as it does on the full-size car. The hardtop is removable and stores under the hood to display the car in open convertible configuration. Metallic mesh grilles, photo-etched details, and synthetic rubber tires complete the model. An illustrated pamphlet detailing the car's history and technical specifications is included.

Minimal final assembly required. Two screwdrivers included.
