The Ferrari F50 was Ferrari's most extreme road car of the 1990s — a direct spiritual descendant of the Formula 1 programme, equipped with a 4.7-litre V12 engine producing 520 horsepower and built in a total run of just 349 units worldwide. Tamiya's 1/12 Collector's Club Special captures it at a scale and level of detail that no standard plastic kit can approach.

The die-cast metal body panels are hand-finished with a factory-applied paint job matching the full-size car. Left and right doors, the front hood, and the rear engine cover all open on metal hinges to reveal a fully detailed interior — bucket seats with reproduced seatbelts, a carbon-pattern instrument panel, and the exposed V12 engine. The front wheels are linked to the steering wheel. Semi-pneumatic synthetic rubber tires with accurate tread patterns complete the stance. Two roof configurations are included: closed Berlinetta hardtop and open Barchetta roadster.

Only minimal final assembly is required — attaching the wheel hubs using the included tool — making this accessible to any collector regardless of modelling experience.
