About AK Real Colors. AK Interactive's Real Colors is a 180-colour lacquer range now in a new 17ml plastic dropper bottle — 70% more paint than the original 10ml glass bottle. The formula is unchanged: fast-drying, airbrush-optimised lacquer that flows cleanly and delivers opaque coverage in one or two coats. Compatible with AK RC701 / RC702 High Compatibility Thinner, Tamiya Lacquer Thinner, Mr. Color Thinner, and Mr. Color Leveling Thinner. This guide covers all 150 military and utility colours — Standard (RC801–820), Military AFV (RC851–896), and Military Aircraft (RC897–980) — organised by nation, theatre, and era.

Standard Colours & Varnishes — RC801–RC820

The Standard range forms the utility backbone of the AK Real Colors system: three varnish types in lacquer, a run of neutral blacks and whites with RAL designations, basic primaries, metallics, and buff tones used across all modelling subjects. These colours appear wherever you need tonal mixing, primer support, interior painting, or a final sealing coat. All are lacquer-based and formulated for airbrushing.
