A medium, neutral warm grey tone — A-14 Interior Steel Grey, the basic colour of Soviet aircraft cockpit and interior surfaces from the 1930s throughout the Second World War and into the early postwar period. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC979 is included in AK's Soviet Aircraft Colors 1941–1945 set as the standard interior colour for the full range of Soviet WWII aircraft.
RC979 A-14 Interior Steel Grey was the standard colour for cockpits and other interior surfaces of Soviet military aircraft from the 1930s throughout WWII, and remained in use at least during the initial postwar years. It is therefore correct for Soviet aircraft cockpit and interior surfaces from the 1930s through WWII and into the early postwar period, applicable across all VVS types including the Il-2, La-5/7, Yak-1/3/7/9, Pe-2, Tu-2, Il-4, MiG-3, LaGG-3, and the full range of Soviet combat and non-combat aircraft of the period.
