A light, neutral grey tone — RAF Sky Grey (FS 26373), the lower surface colour for Royal Navy Fleet Air Arm non-fighter aircraft in the initial version of the Temperate Sea Scheme from 1939 until approximately September 1940, and a fair equivalent to the "Russian Grey" applied overall to Soviet and Russian interceptors from the 1970s. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC959 is included in AK's WWII RAF Coastal Command & RN Fleet Air Arm Colors set.

RC959 RAF Sky Grey / FS 26373 was the lower surface colour in the first version of the Fleet Air Arm Temperate Sea Scheme, used from 1939 until approximately September 1940 on Royal Navy aircraft other than fighters — including Swordfish, Albacore, Fulmar, Skua, Roc, and Walrus types in initial TSS finish. From September 1940 it was superseded on most FAA types by Sky. It is therefore correct for Royal Navy FAA non-fighter lower surfaces in the initial Temperate Sea Scheme 1939–~September 1940. As a fair match to FS 26373 / "Russian Grey," it is also applicable to Soviet and Russian interceptor overall colour from the 1970s on the MiG-25, MiG-31, and some MiG-23 variants.
