Description

AKIRC933 - AK Interactive Real Colors RLM 02 RLM-GRAU (1941) 17 ml.

A warm, slightly greener grey tone — the RLM 02 RLM-Grau colour as recorded in the November 1941 edition of the Luftwaffe colour regulations (L.Dv. 521/1), representing the subtle tonal shift from the earlier 1938 version. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC933 is included in AK's WWII Luftwaffe Cockpit & Interior Colors set alongside RC932 and the two RLM 66 variants, allowing accurate differentiation between early and late Luftwaffe interior and camouflage applications.

RC933 RLM 02 RLM-Grau (1941) represents the colour variant from the November 1941 Farbtontafel revision. It continued as the standard Luftwaffe interior colour until officially superseded by RLM 66 in summer 1944, and served as a supplementary mottling colour on Luftwaffe fighters and heavy fighters from approximately mid-1941 through to 1944. It is also a fair match to RAL 6013, the overall colour of Czechoslovak and Israeli Air Force Avia S-199 aircraft post-war. It is therefore correct for Luftwaffe cockpit and interior surfaces from 1941 to summer 1944 across German aircraft types produced or repainted in this period; supplementary mottling colour on Luftwaffe fighters and heavy fighters ~mid-1941–1944 including the Bf 109F/G/K, Fw 190A/D, and Bf 110G; and Avia S-199 overall colour on Czechoslovak and Israeli Air Force airframes post-1945.

  • Luftwaffe cockpit and interior surfaces 1941–summer 1944 — 1941 colour chart variant, applicable across German aircraft types of the period
  • Supplementary mottling colour on Luftwaffe fighters and heavy fighters ~mid-1941–1944: Bf 109F/G/K, Fw 190A/D, Bf 110G
  • Avia S-199 overall colour — Czechoslovak and Israeli Air Force post-war airframes (fair match to RAL 6013)
  • Lacquer-based, airbrush-optimized — smooth, opaque coverage
  • Compatible with AK RC701 / RC702 High Compatibility Thinner, Tamiya Lacquer Thinner, Mr. Color Thinner, and Mr. Color Leveling Thinner
  • New 17ml plastic dropper bottle — 70% more volume than the original 10ml glass bottle
