A medium, slightly lighter grey tone corresponding to Federal Standard 36270 — the third colour in the USAF three-tone Hill Grey scheme applied to F-16s from the late 1970s, and one of the two tones in the two-colour Hill Grey scheme used on F-4 Phantoms and later F-16s. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC918 is included in AK's US Air Force & ANG Modern Aircraft Colors set and works alongside RC913 Medium Gunship Grey FS 36118 in completing the Hill Grey family of schemes.

RC918 Medium Grey FS 36270 is one of the three colours in the Hill Grey scheme applied to USAF F-16A/Bs from the late 1970s until the early 1990s — a scheme also carried by early F-16s delivered to several NATO air forces (with Denmark and Norway as notable exceptions). It is also one of the two colours in the two-colour Hill Grey scheme applied to USAF F-4C/D/E/G Phantom IIs from the late 1970s until retirement, and to USAF F-16s from the early 1990s. It is therefore correct for USAF three-colour Hill Grey scheme late 1970s–early 1990s on the F-16A/B Fighting Falcon; same scheme on NATO F-16 operators (except Denmark and Norway); and USAF two-colour Hill Grey scheme on F-4C/D/E/G Phantom II (late 1970s–retirement) and F-16A/B/C/D (early 1990s onward).
