A medium, slightly warm grey tone corresponding to Federal Standard 36251 — the base colour in the USAF and ANG Mod Eagle camouflage scheme carried by the F-15 and F-22 fleets since 1992, and a colour that appears in both Hellenic Air Force and USAF aggressor training schemes. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC917 is included in AK's US Air Force & ANG Modern Aircraft Colors set and pairs with RC915 F-15 Dark Grey FS 36176 to complete the two-tone Mod Eagle scheme.

RC917 Aggressor Grey FS 36251 is the lighter, base tone in the Mod Eagle camouflage scheme applied to the USAF and ANG F-15 fleet from 1992 and subsequently to the F-22A Raptor fleet. It is also one of the colours in the Hellenic Air Force Ghost scheme introduced in the late 1980s, and appears in USAF aggressor training paint schemes. It is therefore correct for USAF and ANG F-15 Mod Eagle scheme 1992–present on the F-15C/D Eagle and F-15E Strike Eagle — base (lower surface) colour, pairs with RC915 F-15 Dark Grey FS 36176; USAF F-22A Raptor Mod Eagle scheme on all production airframes; Hellenic Air Force Ghost scheme late 1980s onwards on the F-16C/D Fighting Falcon, F-4E Phantom II, and F-5A/B Freedom Fighter; and USAF aggressor training schemes on the F-15C Eagle and F-16C Fighting Falcon.
