Description

AKIRC907 - AK Interactive Real Colors Pale Green FS 34227 17 ml.

A medium, slightly grey-green tone corresponding to Federal Standard 34227 — the third upper surface colour in the Israeli Air Force's original three-tone desert camouflage scheme, introduced after the 1967 Six Day War and carried by IAF aircraft until the scheme was modified in the early 1980s. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC907 pairs with RC898 Sand FS 33531 and RC895 Dark Tan FS 30219 to complete the original IAF upper surface tricolour.

RC907 Pale Green FS 34227 is one of the three upper surface colours in the IAF desert scheme introduced in 1967, where it combined with FS 33531 Sand and FS 30219 Dark Tan over FS 35622 Light Blue undersides. This scheme remained the IAF standard for tactical aircraft and helicopters until the early 1980s, when FS 34227 Green was replaced by RAF Sky (FS 34424) in the revised four-tone scheme. Aircraft already painted in the original scheme retained their colours until withdrawn from service, meaning FS 34227 continued to appear on IAF aircraft into the early 2000s. It is therefore correct for IAF three-tone desert scheme 1967–early 1980s including the Mirage IIICJ, Nesher, F-4E and RF-4E Phantom II, A-4H/N Skyhawk (some variants), Ouragan, Mystère IVA, Super Mystère B.2, Vautour IIN, Fouga Magister, Do 27, and Do 28, with some airframes retaining this scheme in service through to the early 2000s.
