Description
AKIRC904 - AK Interactive Real Colors Field Green FS 34097 17 ml.
A medium olive-green tone corresponding to Federal Standard 34097 — the standard overall colour of USMC helicopters from 1956 through to the 1970s, and a colour that returned in a later context as part of US Navy and USMC adversary training schemes. Part of the AK Interactive Real Colors Military range in the new 17ml plastic dropper bottle, RC904 covers early USMC rotary-wing subjects predating the FS 34095 era, as well as post-Cold War aggressor aircraft.
RC904 Field Green FS 34097 is the overall finish applied to USMC helicopters from 1956 until the transition to FS 34095 USMC Green in the late 1970s. It also appears in camouflage schemes used by US Navy and USMC adversary training squadrons. It is therefore correct for USMC helicopters overall colour 1956 through to the 1970s including the UH-34D Seahorse, CH-46A/D Sea Knight in early service, CH-53A Sea Stallion in early service, UH-1E Iroquois, and AH-1G/J Cobra; and US Navy and USMC adversary squadron schemes on the F-5N Tiger II and F/A-18B Hornet operated by aggressor units.
